SAMUT PRAKAN: A man sustained serious burns after a fire broke out in his house, which is opened as a grocery shop, in Bang Phli district early on Sunday. Two fire engines, a medical team and rescue workers were dispatched to the house in Moo 9 village of tambon Bang Pla after the fire broke out at about 6.30am. Khemchart Kanha, 41, the owner of the house, who is a former para-military ranger from Buri Ram, was found lying unconscious in the house, sufferring from serious burns. He was admitted to Bang Phli Hospital. A firefighter of the Bang Pla tambon local administration said it was initially believed the fire started from the gas leak.
